Kenya revenue authority seizes 2 tonnes of ivory destined for Indonesia

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) officials have seized a consignment of ivory estimated to be worth 100 million shillings at the port of Mombasa. The twenty feet container weighing 2 tonnes was disguised as decorative stones and was destined for Indonesia when it was intercepted. Mr Gitau Gitua, Head of KRA operations at the port of Mombasa said the same clearing company has been linked with ivory trade in the country . Source: The Star, Kenya
